Another Japan-only Bourbon

As my friend from Kentucky makes more requests for bourbons he basically can’t find back home (this one is actually available st the gift shop but always sold out), I learn more and more about some offerings exclusively sold here in Japanland.

Evan Williams 12 Year (aka Red Label)

Very rich nose with dark cherry and oak, somewhat typical bourbon flavor on the palate—pleasant but with a nice kick from the spice notes (nutmeg?!) and high proof. Not too shabby! Dark color and warms you up. In the same price range I can also get Eagle Rare 10Y, which I’d prefer over this.
